Vietnam and Cambodia Highlights Itinerary

  • Day 1: Depart London

    Make your way to London Heathrow for your flight to Cambodia.

  • Day 2: Arrive Siem Reap

    On arrival at the airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your luxurious hotel in the exciting Siem Reap city centre. Once you’ve settled in, you can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Accommodation: Three Nights, Siem Reap, Hotel Sofitel Angkor

  • Day 3: Siem Reap

    Head to Angkor Archaeological Park to visit Angkor Thom and the temple of Bayon. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Apsara dance performance before a memorable dinner.

  • Day 4: Siem Reap

    After your Signature Experience, enjoy a guided tour of this impressive temple. Return to your hotel for breakfast and some time at leisure. This afternoon, you’ll explore the intriguing temple of Ta Prohm. Later, visit ‘Opportunities of Development thru Art’ (ODA).

  • Day 5: Siem Reap, Embark Ship, Prek K’dam

    Transfer to Prek K’dam to embark your luxury river ship. Settle in to your suite before an exclusive Luke Nguyen Welcome Dinner. Accommodation: Seven Nights, Mekong River, APT’s RV AmaLotus

  • Day 6: Kampong Chhnang, Oudong, Kampong Tralach

    Today brings you an authentic glimpse into the local way of life as you jump aboard a small boat and head into the wetlands near Kampong Chhnang. Known as the ‘Clay Pot Port’, the local people craft pottery under their stilt homes on the river. Here, watch out for water birds and traditional fishing traps near the riverbank. Afterwards, take a coach to Oudong, the fascinating royal capital of Cambodia from 1618 until 1866. Calling in on a local monastery, you are met by Buddhist monks before receiving a special blessing from them – an unforgettable experience. Afterwards, continue to the village of Kampong Tralach for a visit to the Wat Kampong Tralach Pleu pagoda. Then take an exciting ox cart ride through the countryside, passing lush rice fields and smiling locals on your way back to your ship. Discuss the day’s adventures over a delicious dinner on board.

  • Day 7: Koh Chen, Phnom Penh

    This morning, sail to the village of Koh Chen for a walk to visit the fine copperware workshops. Watch the craftsmanship and learn about the process. Later this afternoon, you are free to explore Cambodia’s buzzing capital, Phnom Penh. You might like to wander the streets and familiarise yourself with the city before returning to your luxurious river ship for dinner.

  • Day 8: Phnom Penh

    Today, enjoy select your preferred activity.

  • Day 9: Phnom Penh, Border Crossing

    Enjoy free time in Phnom Penh. The rest of today is spent on board. After entering Vietnam, cruise towards Tan Chau.

  • Day 10: Tan Chau, Evergreen Island

    Travel by small boat to Tan Chau, followed by a rickshaw tour. Later, visit an evergreen island and witness rural Mekong life.

  • Day 11: Sa Dec, Cai Be

    Today, cruise to the quaint town of Sa Dec. On arrival, tour Huynh Thuy Le’s old house and learn the story behind Marguerite Duras’ best-selling novel, The Lover. Afterwards, visit a traditional Cao Dai temple. This afternoon, a local boat will take you to the town of Cai Be. Step ashore to explore before visiting a local rice paper manufacturer.

  • Day 12: Disembark Cruise, Ho Chi Minh City, Long Tan OR Cu Chi Tunnels

    Disembark at My Tho and be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City. Enjoy a Signature Experience later today. Accommodation: Two Nights, Ho Chi Minh City, Park Hyatt Saigon

  • Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City

    Today, enjoy a range of Freedom of Choice Sightseeing activities, followed by a delicious Signature Experience Dinner.

  • Day 14: Depart Ho Chi Minh City

    Today you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

  • Day 15: Arrive London
