Jersey's Joie de Vivre Itinerary
Day 1
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Jersey. On arrival, you will be transferred the short distance to St Helier and the Pomme D’Or Hotel (4T). The marina and a selection of shops, cafés and museums are on the doorstep of this centrally located hotel.
Day 2
We depart on a full day of exploration, firstly arriving at Bouley Bay, home of the legendary Black Dog, the myth created by smugglers to keep local folk away from the bay and their clandestine activities. We then continue to Gorey with its castle built to protect Jersey against the French in the early 13th century, when King John lost his rule over territories in Normandy.
Day 3
You are at leisure today. There are several worthy gardens and parks to enjoy including the Howard Davis Park and Les Jardins de la Mer, complete with a water maze, illuminated at night. Alternatively, a shuttle bus can transport you to the Jersey War Tunnels. Originally intended to be a barracks and ammunition store for the occupying forces during World War II, it is now a thought provoking museum to this dark era.
Day 4
This morning we have included a half-day excursion to Jersey Lavender Farm. Although the Lavender fields may not be in bloom when you visit, you will be taken on a guided tour and learn about everything from how the farm started, to the filling and labelling of bottles. Please note: The lavender fields usually begin to show their colour from late May and are harvested from late June to early August.
Day 5
We embark on our second full-day exploration of the island. Our first stop is St Matthew’s Church, famous for the glasswork on the font, altar and cross, created by Rene Lalique of Paris and thought to be his greatest achievement. We then call in at the Eric Young Orchid Foundation before heading for the north coast, stopping at the Jersey Pearl Centre. Following time here we will make a photo stop at Corbiere Lighthouse on our way to La Mare Vineyard for wine tasting and afternoon tea before we return to St Helier.
Days 6-7
Further time to relax and enjoy this lovely island. Perhaps visit the world-famous Jersey Zoo and Wildlife Conservation Centre.
Day 8
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. Upon arrival, a Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
