Voyage through the Balkans Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Budapest, Embark Ship
Welcome to Budapest, the historic Hungarian capital. Once you’ve arrived at the airport, we’ll whisk you away to your luxury river ship, docked on the Danube River. Later, there’s nothing like cruising through Budapest once the sun sets, as its monuments put on a twinkling show around you. Accommodation: 14 Nights: a Concerto River Ship
Day 2: Bratislava
You will be shown the best of Bratislava on a guided discovery. Then it’s time for your Signature Experience.
Day 3: Vienna
Explore the streets of Vienna as you are guided through its esteemed history. Tonight, visit the City Palace for your Signature Experience.
Day 4: Budapest
As you explore Budapest, you’ll be entranced by its monuments, including a visit to the Hungarian Parliament. This fine example of neo-Gothic architecture is now over 100 years old and houses the old House of Lords and the Hungarian Crown Jewels.
Day 5: Mohacs, Pecs
You have the choice as to how you spend your day. Back on board, savour dinner.
Day 6: Belgrade
In Serbia’s capital, choose your sightseeing.
Day 7: Iron Gates
Cruise through the Iron Gates and experience one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders you will encounter on this cruise. Your ship will ribbon its way through the series of gorges between Serbia and Romania.
Day 8: Giurgiu, Bucharest
With an entire day in Bucharest, take in the wide tree-lined boulevards and Belle Epoque buildings, then walk through the Old City centre to the Royal Court, Stavropoleos Church and the Lipscani district. After lunch, the choice is yours.
Day 9: Rousse, Veliko Tarnovo, Svishtov
Enjoy a choice of sightseeing in Veliko Târnovo.
Day 10: Vidin, Belogradchik
Explore Baba Vida Fortress in Vidin. Raised upon the remains of the ancient town of Bononia, the medieval castle dates back to the 10th century. Afterwards, venture to Belogradchik to uncover its ancient fortress on the northern slope of the Balkan mountains. You’ll also see the town’s unique rock formations.
Day 11: Scenic Cruising
The day is yours to relax on board, sleep in and take it easy, or awake early and take in stunning views from the Sun Deck.
Day 12: Novi Sad, Ilok, Vukovar
Explore Novi Sad’s Petrovaradin Fortress and its catacombs, then select your sightseeing.
Day 13: Kalocsa, Puszta
Enjoy your Signature Experience, then afterwards, a farm in Puszta is the perfect setting for a stellar horse show and authentic Hungarian lunch.
Day 14: Budapest
Today unfolds as you please. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner.
Day 15: Disembark Ship, Depart Budapest
Disembark your ship and be transferred to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
