Winter Rockies Spectacular Itinerary
DAY 1 UK to Calgary
Fly to Calgary today. On arrival we'll transfer to Banff via a spectacular journey through the Rocky Mountains.
DAY 2 Banff
Banff National Park is an incredible wilderness nestled in the heart of the Rockies. Our morning tour will take in the Hoodoos of Bow Valley, imposing spires of rock carved by wind and water, and Surprise Corner, so named because as we drive out of Banff, the view suddenly opens into a fantastic mountain vista, featuring the famous Banff Springs Hotel. Later, we'll take the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for sensational views. Get to know your travelling companions over drinks and an included dinner this evening.
DAY 3 Banff
Enjoy a scenic winter wonderland as you sit back and relax on an included horse-drawn sleigh ride today.Later, spend free time exploring Banff or maybe you'll choose to warm up during our included visit to Banff's natural hot springs.
DAY 4 Jasper
We travel to the former railroad town of Jasper and its breathtakingly beautiful national park. Spend the evening enjoying your hotel's facilities or perhaps head into Jasper with your travelling companions.
DAY 5 Jasper
Today we venture into Jasper National Park for sightseeing in an area of pristine wilderness. You may also choose to join a wonderful winter adventure – a Maligne Canyon icewalk. In the company of a guide you'll head to the bottom of the deep canyon where we'll see frozen waterfalls, ice caves and incredible ice formations.
DAY 6 Lake Louise
Lake Louise is thought by many to be one of the most beautiful places in Canada, and we head here today for a two-night stay.
DAY 7 Lake Louise
Today we have free time to enjoy the excellent facilities at the chateau and its glorious surroundings. Alternatively, why not join our amazing optional excursion – snowshoeing on Lake Louise. This evening we'll gather as a group and head outside, where a blazing firepit will keep us warm as we enjoy a farewell drink.
DAY 8 Calgary
After a brief tour of Calgary, we will transfer to the airport for our flight back to the UK.
Day 9 UK
We will arrive in the UK today.
